Common Side Effects Of Taking Breast Enlargement Pills

The increasing use of natural breast enhancement supplements and products today reflects the increasing change of direction that women are taking with regard to enhancing their body through non-surgical methods.

Many women view these supplements as a safe, and less threatening method for increasing bust size, and achieving the desired look. Many enhancement supplements sold today have different claims in how effective they are in increasing breast sizes, with some guaranteeing results in a little over a month.

Although some claims could never be truly verified, there are others who have been subjected to a number of independent clinical trials, and have been studied to effectively work, and many of these use natural or herbal ingredients for enhancing breast tissue growth.

Many Work, But Some Supplements May Have Adverse Effects

Herbal Medicine experts say that most growth supplements that have natural ingredients, work well in improving breast sizes, however they counter that not all are truly safe.

According to some scientists and academics, the use of some bust-enhancing products should be reduced, or discouraged because of lack of evidence for efficacy and long-term safety concerns. If breast enlargement pills do have estrogen-like effects in the body, as shown by many, there are still some lingering safety concerns.

Estrogen, if given on its own, stimulates the growth of tissue in the uterus and is believed to promote uterine cancer, which is why birth control pills and hormone replacement therapy normally contain progesterone to counter estrogen’s effects on the uterus. Most laboratory studies have not yet fully ascertained the effects of enhancement supplements in stimulating the growth of uterine tissue.

However, there is no evidence to show that natural enlargement pills interfere with fertility, menstruation, or birth control pills. Some experts also say that many of the herbs used, such as fenugreek and fennel, have historical reputations as breast enhancers. However, there is little discussion on safety with long-term use, and analysts do not have a clear view on the safety concerns of taking large quantities of these herbs in pill form.

As natural breast enlargement supplements theoretically increase breast sizes, since most of them contain herbs that have known estrogen-like effects on the body.

Examples of Commonly-Used Herbs Which Could Have Potential Side Effects To Users

– Saw Palmetto

This herb is commonly known to treat urinary symptoms resulting from benign prostate hypertrophy (BPH) in men. Saw palmetto, however, has been noted to slow blood clotting, so it should not be used before or after surgery, but people with bleeding disorders, and by people taking “blood thinning”medicines, such as Coumadin (warfarin), Plavix (clopidogrel), Ticlid (ticlopidine), Trental (pentoxifylline), heparin, and aspirin. Saw palmetto may alsoreduce the effectiveness of oral contraceptives.

– Wild Yam

This root crop has been found to have a variety of plant-derived estrogens, such as diosgenin. It is promoted to treat menopausal symptoms and relieve premenstrual syndrome (PMS). However, wild yam is not advisable for use by pregnant or nursing women, or by women using oral contraceptives as contraception, or by people with hormone sensitive cancers.

– Bovine Ovary vary Extract

Although there have been no published studies regarding the safety or effectiveness of bovine ovary extract in humans, unlike the other herbs mentioned, some Web sites selling the product claim that this extract stimulates the pituitary glands, resulting in an increase in prolactin and growth hormone levels.

Growth hormones are useful in stimulating growth in children, however higher levels of growth hormones in adults who don’t need it can cause the development of diabetes, abnormal growth of bones and internal organs such as the heart, kidneys, and liver, high blood pressure, and atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries)

– Hops

Hops, which are utilized in brewing beer, contain a potent phytoestrogen. Hops however, may have an effect in the metabolism of prescription drugs in the liver, such as drugs for allergies, fungal infections, cancer, high cholesterol or oral contraceptives. – Breast Enlargement Pill

Bigger Breasts – Exercises to Enhance the Size of Your Breasts

There are so many women in the world today that are not happy with the size of their breasts. There are some that would like a reduction but there are many more who would like to have bigger breasts. Having bigger breasts would mean a lot to these ladies as many of them feel unattractive and lack in confidence due to the size of their boobs. Unfortunately many of these ladies simply do not want to have breast augmentation surgery, either because they do not want to traumatise their body by having an operation, or simply can not afford the money it would cost.

One method to get naturally bigger boobs is through exercise. Although a breast is made up of fatty tissues and milk glands it is still possible to make it bigger with some simple exercises. What you will actually be exercising is the pectoral muscle situated behind the breast. Working this muscle will push your breasts up and out and make them bigger. There are quite a few effective exercises to achieve the results you want so I thought I would highlight my favourite and most effective ones.

1. Press-ups are really effective when searching for an exercise to increase breast size. This helps to keep the chest muscles nicely toned. To perform a push up correctly you should place your hands and knees on the floor and keep your hands level with your breasts. Keeping your back straight as you do this you should lower yourself gradually towards the floor and then push-up. Repeat this exercise another 10 – 15 times.

2. The vertical press up is also extremely effective and simple to do. Facing a wall ensure that you are an arm’s length away. Now placing your hands on the wall and keeping your elbows straight you should try and push the wall away from you. Hold this position for about ten seconds and then relax for ten seconds. You should aim to repeat this exercise between ten and twenty times every day.

3. A nice simple exercise is doing arm swings. To do this effectively you should stand up straight and swing your right arm in a clockwise direction for approximately ten seconds. The rest this arm and repeat the exercise with your other arm. Once you have completed this repeat the exercise but this time move your arms in a counter clockwise direction.

Performing these exercises will help to give you bigger breasts as long as you remain committed to them. You will not see any results if you go about them half heartedly.

The Causes of Paper Thin Skin, and What You Can Do to Make Skin Thicker and More Flexible

The causes of paper thin skin are well known. Researchers have understood for many years what causes the problem. However, they aren’t quick to offer solutions. Sometimes they seem to be saying it’s a necessary part of aging and you just have to live with it.

Not true!

Here is a guide to what works when your skin is paper thin.

Thin skin problems can be severe

You may consider thin skin a minor issue. You might feel that you simply cut and bruise too easily, and take longer than most people to heal. But thin skin can be treated, and should be. Especially if you feel that your skin is really “paper thin.”

Here is why. You know your own body. If feel your skin is “paper thin,” that is probably close to the truth. And that can be a very bad thing.

You may be easily wounded and exposing yourself to bigger health issues. It may take weeks for your body to heal a minor bruise or cut that disappears in a couple of days for most people. A severe bruise, or scraping your skin badly from a fall, for example, might very well put you in the hospital.

The causes of thin skin

If you have a history of long-term illness, you may have taken steroid medications like Predisone. These anti-inflammatory drugs can be life savers. But they have terrible side effects — especially if they are used over a long period. A weak immune system, cataracts, weakened bones — and yes, thin, fragile skin — are some of them.

For most people, the problem is not so much illness and over-use of prescription drugs, but lack of skin nutrition. Your skin loses collagen, elastin, and hyaluronic acid — and you need an abundance of all of these to build youthful, healthy skin. As skin ages, it loses strength and elasticity, begins to sag and wrinkle, and gets much thinner.

The answer to the problem

You can reverse all the most important causes of skin aging and thinning. A couple of strategies will help, and I’ll tell you the specific ingredients to look for in a skin care product.

1. Your diet matters. If you’re more likely to grab a cookie and a bottle of soda pop than a meal when you get hungry, that’s bad news for your skin. Sugar has many nasty habits, and one of them is to cause something called glycation. The process of glycation underlies the destruction of collagen and other proteins in the skin. The answer is to cut back hard on added sugar in your food and drinks.

2. Supplements can help, too. Take one containing at least 50 mg a day of Carnosine, which both prevents glycation and stops it once it has begun.

3. Skin care products can actually help your skin rebuild itself — if they contain the right ingredients. You need plenty of collagen to thicken and strengthen your skin. You can’t rub it in — collagen is too big a molecule to be absorbed through the skin.

But you can stimulate the skin to boost its own production of collagen and elastin, and to grow new cells faster. An ingredient called Cynergy TK has shown in clinical trials that it does all of these things.

The problem with hyaluronic acid (or hyaluronan) is that it gets used up fast. You have to replace a third of it every day. You can give your skin a break by using an extract of seaweed called Phytessence Wakame. It blocks the action of a skin enzyme that destroys hyaluronic acid. Phytessence Wakame blocked the enzyme’s action by 52 percent in trials. This allows the skin to rebuild its hyaluronic acid levels.

Dental Implants: The Procedure and Benefits

Dental implants, typically made of titanium, are used to restore teeth that are missing. The implants are placed in the root of the missing tooth and are fused into the actual bone. This is done with an incision in the gums, followed by the actual insertion of the implant. Once the dental implant is inserted, the gums are sewn up and time is given to allow the gums and bone to heal appropriately. The healing process can take several months, but it is essential that the bone and implant are strong enough to hold the prosthetic tooth in place.

The Consultation

Before any procedures can begin, a person must consult with their dentist. During the initial consultation, the dentist, and often times a periodontist, will examine the area that needs the implant. While examining the mouth, they will ensure that there is enough bone to support the procedure. If there is not enough bone, there is always the option of having a bone graft. Other causes for not being a candidate include severe medical conditions, but this varies drastically between patients.

Dental Implant Benefits

Unlike dentures or bridges, dental implants are much more permanent. While bridges are also permanent, they rely on the surrounding teeth to stay in place. However, implants are seen as the absolute best type of prosthetic teeth. Since they are placed into the root of the missing tooth they replace, they are a much more natural replacement for the real tooth.

Aesthetically speaking, dental implants look and feel exactly like real teeth; without telling another person, there is virtually no way for a person to determine that the implant is not real. Bridges alter the surrounding teeth that they are anchored to. This can cause other teeth to start becoming damaged as a consequence. Since dental implants only replace a single tooth at a time and are placed in the tooth’s root, they do not have any adverse effects on the natural teeth or gums.

The dental implants will act as real teeth. This means that they will need to be brushed frequently and have all of the proper dental care associated with natural teeth. Plaque can build up on the new teeth and must be thoroughly removed or it can lessen the longevity of the prosthetic tooth.

Financing and Cost

Depending on the area of replacement, dentist pricing and insurance, a single tooth replacement can cost from $900 – $3,000. If dental insurance will not cover the procedure, there are often financing options available. Some dentists will accept payments or have a list of third-party companies who will finance the procedure and require monthly payments.

For people with missing teeth, having a dental implant can mean the difference between having a confident smile or one that is hidden from the world. Not only will they allow a person to be confident in their smile, but they will once again be able to chew their food in the replacement area. This, along with general gum health improvements, provides an unmatched benefit of having dental implants done.

How to Easily Afford Dental Implants

The way most people ask about how much dental implants cost sound very much the way they would ask how much a car costs and with good reason. As with cars, the cost of which will depend on what type and model of car you require, the cost you pay for implants depends on how many implants you need and why you need them.

On a good day, patients can expect to pay anywhere between the amounts of $1,200 to $3,000, not including any of the fixtures above it or anything else to hold your teeth in. If you’re going to pay for the implant, the piece that goes into it, the crown on top of that and grafting materials, this could set you back about $3,500 to $4,000 for that type of implant. OK, so it is actually closer to purchasing a new car but the thing is, dental implants last longer and well, even if you have the flashiest car around, if you mumble or slur your words because of ill-fitting dentures or bridges, then the car may actually be a better investment.

The good news is, you can actually find dental implants that won’t break the bank. Dental implants that are affordable don’t easily come by but with a lot of patience you may be able to find one at about half of the total cost and maybe even ones for free. All you need to know is where to look.

The first thing you need to do is discuss your options with your dentist. He or she may be able to come up with affordable payment plans or allow you to pay for your implants in installments. He or she may even suggest that you get dental discount cards that they participate in, ones that offer at least 30%-50% on dental procedures and are usually valid for a year.

Another way to afford your dental implants is to shop around for dental insurance policies that cover a substantial part, if not the full price for dental implant procedures. While most dental insurance policies won’t cover dental implants because it is considered cosmetic procedure, it is better to have at least a part of it covered than having to pay for it all when your budget clearly doesn’t allow it even if you need it.

You can also try to browse for cosmetic dental clinics online that offer payment plans for their patients to get dental implants. Find sites that accept Hicaps and most reputable health cards, as well as credit through any financing institutions. Sites that allow you extended payment options ensures you get the treatment when you want it and when you need it without worrying about how to pay for it.

It is also recommended that you take advantage of your benefits package at work if you have any. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) allow you to contribute money from every pay period before they are taxed, and this is the same money you can use to pay for your dental implants. Combining these with individual or employer-sponsored dental insurance plans could save you hundreds of dollars off getting your implants done.

And lastly, while you may be able to get your dental implants for free and this is by playing guinea pig to dental students who are training to perform such procedures while being supervised by a licensed professional during the entire time, you could be exposing yourself to a lot of risks that could entail greater costs in the long run. Never sacrifice your health and well-being for price because it is not worth it.

Aestheticians – Who Are They and What Do They Do

Aestheticians, also spelled estheticians, are skin care specialists. They are not dermatologists nor any type of doctor, by any means. Aesthetician is pronounced “es-thi-tish-uhn,” and is derived from the word aesthetic, whose root is a Greek word meaning “to perceive, to feel” (from the Online Etymology Dictionary). Now, aesthetic seems to refer to a sense of the beautiful, or a sense of what is pleasing.

So, what does an aesthetician do?

Have you ever wondered if there was a better kind of makeup for your skin type? Have you ever questioned what condition your skin was in, and if you were buying the right kind of moisturizer and toner? An aesthetician does all that and more. Not only can he/she tell you what condition your skin is in, but also how to improve it. Usually, a certified aesthetician has access to products that you cannot find at other beauty stores. Laws regarding aestheticians are still in a state of flux and vary buy state, though there are some federal guidelines. Here are some other things an aesthetician may be able to help you with depending on your own state regulations:

Skin Treatments

An aesthetician is trained to handle facial massages in a way to improve your skin’s appearance, to relieve stress, and to just feel good. If you have never had a facial massage, it is a great experience! Also, an aesthetician has learned about chemical exfoliation and how to administer it in a healthy way. Aestheticians also must learn about common plastic surgical procedures in order to understand how to follow up. Some learn about manual lymph drainage for this purpose, but I do not know how common it is in the United States.

Body Treatments

Again, this includes chemical exfoliation, but also includes body masks and body wraps. Some body wraps are dehydrating, explaining the loss of water weight afterward. Your aesthetician should know about the different kinds, and know how to prepare you for it healthily, advising you to drink plenty of water beforehand, etc. Another skill that aestheticians acquire is on hydrotherapy. This includes foot baths and arm baths, as well as douches. A douche is a steady stream of water applied in a certain pattern over a part of the body. This works much like a massage in that it pinpoints specific areas to relieve stress and muscle pain.

Hair Removal

Any body can tweeze their eyebrows, but not many of us are trained to know how to shape our eyebrows so that they complement our face. Many times we know what we don’t want our eyebrows to look like, though we don’t know what we do want them to. An aesthetician is trained to be able to analyze your face shape and your eyebrow arch to come out with the best possible combination. While she is not trained to administer electrolysis or laser hair removal, she should know enough about it to be able to answer your questions.

It is also important to know what an aesthetician is not certified to do, so that you can protect yourself. They are not to puncture or wound the skin in any way that may draw blood. This includes popping a closed zit. Also, they are not to provide you with any advice concerning the treatment of medical diseases.

Aestheticians are there to give advice on what is cosmetically appealing in general, but it is your job to know what you like. Also, it is important for you to watch carefully to make sure they are following basic sanitary guidelines. Aestheticians are great resources when exploring the world of skin care, having been trained and then possibly having gone through an apprenticeship, much like the way electricians are certified. They know the products and can help you figure out what is right for you.

Home Relief Of Tooth Pain

If there is one physical pain in the world that I could not bear, that is tooth pain. Back when I was a child, I would suffer toothache from eating chocolates and not brushing at once. I can’t imagine the pain it was giving me and I would stay up all night crying, thinking that the tears can make the pain go away. But the pain remained, more throbbing than ever giving me an added headache and swelling in the cheek opposite the problem tooth. Without any dentists nearby and pain relievers in the medicine cabinet, I remembered Mom making her own alternative solution for the toothache using available household products. Here are some of her alternative remedies, pick the one that can work for you.

  1. Swish a mixture of salt and lukewarm water. Let it stay in your mouth for a couple of minutes and do the gargling at least 2-3 times. This may not take all the pain away but it helps while you wait for your appointment with the dentist.
  2. Try using vinegar. Soak a washcloth in vinegar and lightly press it on the cheek of the affected area for a few minutes until it draws out the pain. Cider vinegar works but white vinegar works better. It can ease the pain and make you fall asleep, at least until the morning. You can repeat it as often as possible if the pain comes back before morning.
  3. Clove powder is another alternative. In a piece of paper towel place at least a teaspoon of clove powder. Fold it and roll the bottom to make a small packet. Apply clove oil to moisten and put it between the affected gum and tooth. You can put this on long enough to still get that normal eight to ten hour of sleep. Replace it with another pack after you wake up.
  4. This may be a little weird but for some, putting a piece of cheese in your mouth can lessen the pain you are feeling. Most type of cheese works such as cheddar and mozzarella.
  5. Tea and tea bag work too. Soak a tea bag in warm water and add a few drops of clove oil. Wrap the tea bag in the affected tooth and leave it there for sometime. It can take the pain away and won’t come back in 4 hours or so. When you feel the pain coming back, do the same for another relief for four hours.
  6. Baking soda plus vinegar can work wonders. Brush with a solution of one teaspoon of baking soda and one tablespoon of vinegar. It can give an instant relief to your tooth pain but also leave behind bad taste in your mouth. You can gargle a little of lukewarm water to remove the bad taste.
  7. If you have a petroleum jelly at home, you can have an instant relief from tooth pain. Thoroughly brush your teeth first and then get a q-tip. Dip it in the petroleum jelly and apply that to where the root of your teeth is exposed. It can take out at least 80 percent of the pain. With that, you can bear the remaining pain enough to make you fall asleep.

After the home remedies, make sure to visit your dentist the next morning. It is best to seek professional advice than do self medication.
